Shit happens! Was an accident fate or merely coincidence? Was it embarrassing, simply tragic or tragicomic? Can accidents be prevented? Every accident is preceded by a loss of control. The performance collective Rotterdam Presenta takes us with them into the archives of an insurance company. We practice the faux pas, the moment of collision. What do we see, when we stop time in the actual moment of the crash? Our mistake, the negligent act, that moment, in which we look bad and it is too late for a new plan.

Rotterdam Presenta consists of theater makers and other artists. The core team, based in Düsseldorf and Brussels, defines itself as a platform for cross-disciplinary theater discourse. They create projects at FFT on a regular basis and have found a place for themselves in international festival contexts. For “accident exercises”, they collaborated e.g. with performers Nicolas Niot and Katarzyna Kania, as well as with lighting designer Ryoya Fudetani.Rotterdam Presenta
