miu (Ryutaro Mimura), born in Japan in 1976, works as a conceptual artist, composer and performer. Studied sonology and electronic music at Kunitachi College of Music (Tokyo) and at the Koninklijk Conservatorium (Den Haag). He has been a freelancing artist since 2001. Drawing from his vast repertoire of different intercultural experience, his works place a special emphasis on diverse modes of being and parallel identity as well as on bilingualism.
