Do you remember “Fermata” – that legendary underground spot hosting spectacular performances? Fact and myth mingle in conversation with those who were there. In the third part of his “Empty Balloons Society”, director miu and his German-Japanese team toy with parallel identities and collective memory (loss). What if this place never existed? Could you still recall the choreographies that emerged there?

With: Soya Arakawa, Yuko Kaseki, Pia-Tomoko Meid, Bastian Nonnenberg. Concept, text, sound and system composition: miu. Artistic collaboration: Mizuki Kin, Takaya Kobayashi, Kenji Shinohe. Dramaturgical collaboration: Alice Ferl. Funded by the Ministry for Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and the NRW Landesbüro Freie Darstellende Künste. Supported by Düsseldorf Darstellen und Vermitteln e.V. In coproduction with FFT Düsseldorf.
