Homesick Festival
pay as you want
Or: when homesickness comes to home to you. As a teenager, Michikazu Matsune left Japan and now lives in Vienna. He is often asked whether he’s homesick. So he made a performance about it: the Homesick Festival. It exclusively takes place in the private homes of potential spectators. Dance in the living room, a protest campaign in the kitchen, a philosophical symposium in the bathroom – home sweet home becomes an intimate stage. Where am I? Where do I feel at home? What do I feel at the place I am now?
You can invite the Homesick Festival into your home by contacting us at (0211) 87 67 87 -18 or tickets@fft-duesseldorf.de. Tell us a preferred date between January 18thand 27th, 2019. Homesickness is coming home to you!
Director: Michikazu Matsune. With Nadja Duesterberg, Marje Hirvonen, Morgan Nardi, Oleg Zhukov, Montserrat Gardó Castillo, Rie Watanabe.
Homesick Festival is funded by German Federal Commissioner for Culture and Media via the Association of International Production Houses.
