Geld ist Klasse (money is class)

Ungleichheit und Überreichtum

Performance Social/Urban Movements Theatre & Performance

Theatre-maker Volker Lösch, millionaire heiress Marlene Engelhorn, and actress Marlene Reiter approach inequality from an unusual perspective: Together, they perform a theatrical attack on inflated richness. Geld ist Klasse deals with wealth and power, money and justice, the good life for everyone, and how it could become a reality for all.

Working with author Lothar Kittstein, Engelhorn, Reiter, and Lösch develop a theatre play about the origin of inequality, exposing the schemes used by the inflatedly rich to camouflage themselves, making them impenetrable to criticism. It tackles the menace to democracy and the potential for violence in unregulated prosperity. Fact, fiction, and personal stories reveal: It could be different. With Marlene Engelhorn, the first person to self-critically provide glimpses into the reclusive world of the super-rich on a theatre stage, Geld ist Klasse shows that something needs to change!
