An evening featuring polyrhythms and melodic counterpoint! What sounds so very highbrow turns out to be fast, sensual, and complex. Two exceedingly gifted musical talents meet in Maria Braganca and Yaniel Matos, and with them comes the congenial fusing of two musical worlds. The duo plays their own compositions as well as pieces by contemporary composers such as Jovino Santos, Eliane Elias, or Hermeto Pascoal! Brazilian Jazz and Cuban rhythms at the very edge of our times – saxophone and cello –, resonating with each other, and guaranteed to sweep their audience away!
